Product Characteristics

Silverbrite is a smooth, bleached kraft paper with a special coating. The paper binds the sulphur compounds in the air and prevents their reaction with the metal, that cause tarnishing and discolouration of jewellery, cutlery and decorations from silver.

The amount of active ingredient is proportioned so that the paper can stay effective for months. Silverbrite protects, preserves a nice appearance, and retains the function. It is effective on both sides.

Range of Protection

Protection of silver parts or silver surfaces, such as silver-ware and jewellery.

Silverbrite is especially useful in technical applications, where parts have to be blank because of processing or preservation of their function, e. g. contacts. It is neutral to other materials.

Development of the Protecting Atmosphere

The objects to be protected are wrapped in Silverbrite and tightly sealed so that an air exchange between the outer atmosphere and the one inside the package is only possible through the paper. The lining of cutlery drawers covers of forks and knives in boxes and use as cupboard paper are also possible. In order to prevent rapid consumption of the papers, one should see to it that the air exchange remains low.

Storage

Cool and dry, protected from direct sunlight. Shelf-life in the original packaging up to twelve months.

Disposal

Silverbrite can be recycled in a material – or thermal utilisation. If such utilisation is not technically possible or reasonable, the material can, in accordance with local official regulations, be disposed of with domestic refuse or burned.
